Happy 7 Months!

This past month seems to have flown by, I feel like I just took her 6 months pictures not too long ago. I'm missing her newborn days already! Actually I'm missing both Devin's & Serena's newborn days. They were both so small & delicate, you just want to cuddle & hold them forever! Devin is too big for me to hold for more than 5 minutes nowadays(except when I'm sitting down). So I intend to savor every moment when I'm holding Serena, because I know before long, she'll be too big for me to hold too.

Truck Lover!

Devin loves all things with wheels. His latest obsession is BIG trucks: construction vehicles, eighteen wheelers, car transporters...etc. And he can call out all the proper names for each one and even proper names for the different parts (mud flaps, dallies, exhaust pipes). I'm just happy he has a thirst for learning & passionate about the things he loves. And he just makes me laugh.

The big truck from the picture above, I couldn't resist asking the truck driver to let Devin sit inside the cab (aka the tractor unit). The driver looked a bit confused at first. Then I had to explain what a big fan Devin is for all the big trucks, he laughed & lowered the seat for Devin. Then a few days later we saw the same truck with the same driver again, at the same spot. This time, he honked for Devin twice & waved before driving off. Wow, it really made Devin's day.

Family Time

Over the weekend we met Andrew's brother, Mike & his family for lunch at Shake Shack. It's a burger place, one of Andrew's favorites. I love getting together with family's because the kids can play & get to know each other when we don't see each other as often we liked. Afterwards we went to Toys R Us, what better ending than that?!

Simply Devin

Devin is so funny...and sweet. He tells me he loves me, everyday. Last week when I said to him that I love him first, he says, "and I love you last." Awww. So this week we basically went back & off saying that to each other.

Every morning before he goes to school, I always remind him to share with his friends & listen to his teachers. Two mornings ago, he said to me, "This is the last time I'm listening. I'm tired of listening." LOL!

Last week when I went to pick him up from school, he was finishing his lunch. His teacher was getting his stuff together & he asked his teacher, "what's the hurry?!" I cracked up and so did his teacher.

Oh Devin, I can't wait to share all these funny anecdotes with you when you are older. And I'll always love you first.

My Little Big Guy!

Devin is so much fun to be with, he makes me laugh everyday. He is a very funny guy. He turns everything into a joke, but he is also very sensitive. And he has grown so much intellectually that he apologizes to me (without any prompting) when he knows he has done something wrong.

Here are some funny things he'd said that makes me smile every time when I think of them:

•"That big truck is cutting us off! Unbelievable! All big trucks are mean."

•"Good job putting on your makeup, mommy!"

•"You hold me a lot when I was a baby."

•"Everywise..." (otherwise)

•"You hold up your hand like this to get a cab. And I tell the driver to take me to Target."
