Apple Picking

Over the weekend we went apple picking at an orchard by the Hudson Valley. The fall foilage was starting to peak but the apples weren't so good looking. apparently there was a hail storm back in March which gave most of the apples some dings & dents. Despite the appearance, the apples tasted just as good. As Andrew & I tried to pick the best looking apples from the tree, Devin was picking apples from the ground. And Serena was, of course, sleeping. Then we enjoyed the usual extras at an orchard: the pumpkins, the petting zoo, a maze and the pony rides. Unlike at Elizabeth's birthday party, Devin really wanted to ride the pony this time. We all had an amazing day!

Serena's Dedication

This past Sunday 10/5 was Serena's dedication. She woke up all smiley as if she knew it was going to be her special day. We got her all dressed up and she looked like a little doll! She just needs more hair!

Family Fun

After Serena's dedication, we all went out to eat at a nearby bistro. Andrew's parents were in town from FL and his brother Mike's family came in from NJ to celebrate Serena's special day. It was a long day for everyone but it was great being together.

Serena's latest

Serena had her check up last Thursday and she gained another 2 lbs & grew another 1 3/4 inches. She likes to look at Devin, and laying on the play mat by herself while looking & batting at her toys. Oh, and she loves to be held, a lot.

Birthday Party

Last Saturday we went to Elizabeth's birthday party. She is officially 5 years old! Wow, how time flies-I still remember going to the hospital to see her when she was born!

Anyway, it was a great party-she had ponies there and all the kids got to ride them. But Devin was not interested and Serena is too little yet to ride, so maybe next time.
