Birthday Party

Last Saturday we went to Elizabeth's birthday party. She is officially 5 years old! Wow, how time flies-I still remember going to the hospital to see her when she was born!

Anyway, it was a great party-she had ponies there and all the kids got to ride them. But Devin was not interested and Serena is too little yet to ride, so maybe next time.

Breakfast

It was so nice to meet up for breakfast last Friday with Pastor Andrea & her daughter, Brittany along with Madelina, Sophia & Raina. Pastor Andrea & Brittany were on a Mother/Daughter fun trip visiting NYC, so it was truly accommodating of them to fit us into their schedule. As for myself & Serena, it was just fun getting out of the house & have an early start. Then again, Serena was sleeping the whole time so I guess it was just fun for me, actually sitting down with a bagel & coffee, even if it's just decaf...

Happy 2 Months Old

Yep, Serena is 2 months old already. The pictures below were under exposed & I tried to fix them in iphoto instead of photoshop to save some time but didn't really come out the way I wanted to...oh well.

Serena is smiling more these days...she even smiled at Devin today but he wasn't even paying attention to her. I think Serena likes having Devin around, it keeps her entertained.

A Tea Party

Last Sunday the girls from church had a tea party for Serena at Alice's Tea Cup. What a cute place. Originally it was meant to be a baby shower, but as we all know Serena arrived earlier than expected. So instead of a baby shower, it became a baby welcoming party. And of course, Serena slept almost the entire time...but I will definitely go back with her when she is old enough to enjoy the sweet treats & tea. A big THANK YOU to Madelina for setting this up and all the ladies for coming, you guys rock!!!

In case anyone is wondering why Madelina was hovering over Raina when the picture was taken, well, she really was not. She's not even supposed to be in the picture. She was the one who took the picture but I really wanted a group shot with ALL of us so I "photoshopped" her in. It was a quick job, I know, but if anyone else want to be in the picture, just email me a picture of yourself...LOL

Do you need a reliable babysitter?

Andrew volunteered to watch Serena while Devin is napping so I can get some things done. Then I walked into the room & saw this...

Smiling Serena

Serena started smiling about a week ago(?)-maybe longer, I don't remember now. She started out smiling at me when she sees me in the morning, and now she smiles when you play with her. She has dimples like us, but I've only noticed it on her right side, I have to pay more attention to her left side the next time when she smiles. Her eye brows & eye lashes are slowly coming in, like Devin she didn't have either when she was born.

At Serena's last MD's appointment (the 1st week in Sept), she grew 2 inches & gained 3 lbs. She is now a little over 9 lbs & 21 inches. She graduated from her newborn diapers to stage 1 ones last week. I'll be taking her 2 months old pictures soon, stay tuned...
